You always want to be in there helping your teammates out, ... I've had my struggles at the plate this year, but I'll do whatever I can to help this ballclub win and from there make the necessary adjustments.

Most players don't know how good they can be, probably, 'til they have five, six, seven years in, ... I just want to be the best I can be for this team. I'm not worried about what everyone else is thinking.
athletics consistent games good help team work year
I'm a good athlete, ... Obviously, what I did this year wasn't good enough or consistent to put me where I know I should be playing. And there's more to games than just hitting. I didn't do good this year, but I can do more than just hit. A lot of people, if they can't hit, they're no good. It's a big part but I can help this team with more than just with my bat. I know I can do everything in this game. I know I need to work on my hitting.

I fell at the last minute, ... I didn't see it real good off the bat. It was raining out there and it was a tough play, but it dropped in.

The organization has been great and there's stuff I have to work on, ... I don't blame anybody. Everybody's been positive and trying to help me out. They're in my corner. Do I want to return? Absolutely. I've never had any hard feelings toward anybody here.

We came back and got a couple of rallies going in a few innings. We played well. What can I say? We all contributed.

The ball was hit pretty hard so I told myself to get to it as quick as I can. I wasn't trying to throw anybody out, just get to it as quick as I can. I didn't want the runner to advance to second base. They're aggressive.

It'll be a little different for him to face some more advanced pitching. I'm sure he'll do fine.
That's what you've got to do, ... Make your adjustments and go from there.

It's nobody's fault. I did it, ... Sometimes you have to make things simple and get back to basic stuff.

I'll just do the best I can and play those nine innings or whatever as hard as I can and have fun. That's the attitude I'll take.

I haven't given it any thought, ... I'll stick to my game plan, and at the end of the year or close to the end, I'll start thinking about that and see what I come up with.
