I was rooting for Aaron so hard I didn't pay attention to my game.
I wouldn't say there was any pressure. I would say there's an advantage in that you know you can play well and you have played well.
I don't know what happened there. It was obviously the best shot I hit all week.
I don't think it matters how old he is, because he keeps playing the same every week. He's a very good athlete with a great mind-set and a great game. That's a nice combo.
From the American side it appears to me like it's more work than going out and having fun, ... It doesn't look like they're enjoying it at all, and it reflects in their golf game.
Having never won up here, last year was special,
I saved the worst for the end, anyway. I haven't been playing all that well, but it's getting there.
Winning breeds winning and the more times you can get comfortable, the better off you are,
You know guys like me and Fuzzy (Zoeller), you spend three hours on the range out here, but you know what happens -- you spend 2 1/2 of that (socializing), and you wind up practicing for 25 minutes. ... I got some good work in, and it is really paying off.
Today was very satisfying. I hung in there, I took advantage of my opportunities to make birdies, ... Four birdies and a bogey around here are pretty good.
The game just embarrasses you until you feel inadequate and pathetic. You want to cry like a child.
Why am I using a new putter? Because the last one didn't float too well.
Confidence is everything. From there, it's a small step to winning.
This round will be gone in about four minutes, maybe three,
The reason I played so well was I didn't want to let the kid down, ... It probably helped my game, because I really didn't pay attention to what I was doing.
Every day you finish a round out here you feel it definitely could have been worse, ... It's a good, hard golf course and I just need to keep doing what I have been so far.
The one good swing I had all day,
You still have fun, but you hate to go out and play so well for a couple of days, then play so poorly for a day,
There was no tough luck, just lousy shots. I hit a horrible shot at 17 and a worse one at 18. Jay made some putts and I didn't make them at the end. So be it.
It's a wonderful week, probably one of the best weeks we have.
It's a good golf course, and I've done pretty well there. I've been in the top 10 the past couple of years, so hopefully I can figure out the putting woes and get back to somewhat normalcy, because this pretty much stinks right now.
It probably played darn near identical to what it did yesterday afternoon. Breeze was about the same, the greens were same speed, as receptive. I made some putts yesterday and I missed a lot today.
It's getting a little better, ... I'm getting a little more consistent.
It's so much fun when I make putts, ... and I made damn near everything.
Sunday should be fun. I like Jay. I love playing with him. And, of course, it's been so long since I've been in the hunt.
It's great. You get everybody in the field every year,
It was not a great lie, not a bad lie, but I caught it perfectly. I was very fortunate.
I never thought about not winning in Florida until I saw Watson's streak, ... The reason probably is the greens. I grew up on the West Coast, not in the south.
I haven't played Del Monte in years. I'm kind of looking forward to it.
He's obviously done something right the last two days. Don't see any reason he can't do it a third.
He's obviously a popular guy here, ... We had a good time. He didn't play very well, and I don't think he'll say that he did, but we had a good time.
