I have said to the Senate that you're acting in such a way that it is going to be viewed as precedent in other legal situations.
No official can deny the right of any individual to vote because of error or omission.

I don't think an appeal has any merit. I'm not even sure that it's ripe, at this point. But we'll see what they have to say before I respond further.
These are selected challenges to residency without due process and targeted to black voters.
You can't just retroactively and selectively enforce residency requirements.
We're taking the position that the County Commission doesn't have the right or the power to vote on this, not because of any inherent power that they may or may not have, but because the Senate acted illegally to void the election.
