It took me a little while to learn what I do. Two years ago I was upset I had to go to a junior college. Everything's been a blessing. Coming to Globe, going to Kansas. Every year things have gotten better.
A lot of people tried to help me before, but I didn't get it. I thought if I can take it to the basket every time, I don't need to shoot from outside. My coach in Kansas showed me I have to have a jump shot. It just all fell in place.
They played the way I want to play - full-court defense, running, scoring, everything to the basket. I always wanted to go to the basket.
I adapt to my situations. Here, I've got to score. I love scoring, but it doesn't bother me when I don't have to. I love throwing to my big man. I'll do whatever I need to do. I've been around the block, it will be right to me. I've adapted to a lot worse situations.
I'm going to go there in two weeks, right after finals. I was going to take a visit, but I decided I didn't need to take a visit, because that's where I wanted to be. I need to concentrate on my school work, then visit.
I just had faith in Coach Ken and I knew he'd get me someplace where I wanted to be. I didn't even sweat about the schools. People asked me what school I was going to go to. I didn't know who was recruiting me.
