Our field inspectors were writing everything down and nothing was being captured. So we were looking to do performance management and live data capture. The PDA was chosen over a laptop because it was cheaper.
Then iAnywhere provided the Web front-end for all of our forms and checklists, which made them easy to set up and manage. This turned out to be an easier way to get all the data without any input redundancy and it also allowed users to hot sync to a central database.
The needs are just going to be huge. When these students come in, then we put together whatever we can.
