My understanding is that I'm going to be able to go to (Catholic middle schools) St. Joe's and St. Teresa's, and I'll be able to go into those schools and tell them about the athletics and academics, and I don't have to worry about being down there recruiting.

I thought we did the things we wanted to do tonight. The first quarter we played a lot of our starters and scored once with the varsity guys.

Other than the fact that they closed the splits down, which kept us from slanting and getting into the lanes, they didn't do anything that was unexpected. On film, they didn't seem to have any side that was favored. They just found that they could do it (run left) in this game. The kids gave everything they had in the game and we just came up short.

We went from a 6-4 team the year before to 12-1 and a lot of it had to do with what Jonathon brought presence-wise to us defensively. We left him on the weak side by himself and he could take on any type of blocker. Nobody could run to that side.

The thing that surprised me was how sharp we were on offense in the morning session. Both JV and varsity were very sharp. They knew the plays and were very crisp in executing the plays.

It's not going to stop anything. It might not be the coaches, but you have everyone else that still continues to talk to kids.
