To me it sounded like there was distress there as well, and that was the initial indication that she had been kidnapped, besides just the call itself - the tone of her voice. Sometimes tones can fool you, and I guess that was the case here.
He was considered very dangerous. There was the feeling that he would have committed another crime. It wasn't a matter of if, it was a matter of when. So we're very pleased he's been captured.
