You don't lose a shooting touch; it just likes to go on vacation for a little bit. I've been working in the gym on my own. I think I'm back to where I was and hopefully I can improve that a little bit more.
(Monday) I ran on the treadmill some and ran on the elliptical. I've done the stair-master the past couple of days, ridden the bike and shot around.
Right now I'm feeling great. I'm not the expert here. The doctors and the trainers are, so I just have to trust their opinions.
We took a week off to gather ourselves with all of this happening. But all being together again and getting to know our new coaches made it a lot better.
I went out to shoot with (my dad) and he let me know straight out what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. It's mostly my fault for getting down on myself. My teammates have tried to pick me up the whole way.
I've slowly worked my way back in. I don't feel like I was ever out of shape. Being off for that month was hard, but my foot hasn't been sore. I haven't had any problems with it.
It's frustrating, but I'm doing my best to support my team. Hopefully, it will be enough.
The knees have made any injury I've experienced, or will experience, a lot easier to deal with and come back from.
I know she went here, but she was an Indiana coach. After we met with her, it eased all my worries. She got me motivated. I was ready to go practice.
