We are a district that's growing by leaps and bounds. Not that our administration is growing a lot, but we'll need room as the district continues to grow.
That is definitely something we're looking at ? where the bus stop was and if it was handled in the appropriate manner.
We do endorse and fully support First Amendment rights, but walking out of school during school hours is not appropriate. They can protest, but they have to find appropriate venues to do so, not leaving class or disrupting the school day.
I don't want to say it's a process not being followed. What I'd say is there may be instances where there are gaps in the process.
You can't turn schools into prisons. The woman has a child who goes to that school, so there was no reason to question why she would be on campus.
She may have fallen asleep on the bus. When she woke up, she made herself known to someone there.
This will definitely spark a review of the current procedures as well as looking at what additionally we can do to prevent something like this from happening again in the future.
It impedes and impairs your ability as a driver, and we hold our bus drivers to a very high standard.
We'll do it when it will have the least impact on transportation.
