I am looking to fine tuning and honing her game from the junior college level to an upper echelon style of play.
We lost three players at the end of last year. As a coach with recruiting, I had to fill the spots and find what we needed.
I think Sonja found a perfect fit at the University of Houston. I expect nothing but very positive things from Sonja concerning team chemistry, in academics, or her performance on the court.
Loli is one of the most fierce competitors that I have had to work with,
Vicky is our only freshman, (therefore) her learning curve is going to be a little higher than most,
We are going to continue to get better,
The schedule is set up for singles or doubles to compete against highly ranked teams in the nation.
I'm hoping that some of the players, or the team, can get pre-season rankings. Our goal as a team is to be locked into a pre-season top 75 spot (in the ITA).
I think, obviously, I have to be happy with what last season inspired. This is a good start to the program under my helm.
