This is a beautiful cemetery, but it really needs a better system for endowment. There are a huge range of stones. And there are a huge list of things that should be done to preserve it.

The cemetery has outlasted many of the families of people who are buried there, who would normally look after the sites. There is a lack of money for simple maintenance, so when structures age, they just drift towards oblivion.

While it is convenient to speculate whether or not the talks this week are driven by the visit is not the case at all.
