When the techs in the States went, the Canadians backed off as well. The whole falloff late in the day was as people backed off on the other side (U.S.) of the market.
People are beginning to believe more and more there will be a rate cut and that Greenspan's testimony will indicate that's what is going to happen. So you have the financial stocks very strong on both sides of the border. The Dow really takes off and the TSE joined the party.
This whole thing is, everybody's waiting for Friday. People are worried about the Fed raising rates.
Bonds are not doing anything. The earnings coming out are okay.
The big thing was the U.S. market had a good day today.
