Unfortunately most budget cuts are directed at low-income people. We're overburdened, and I don't know what's going to happen. It's sad that the richest country in the world will not prioritize health care in America.
I often call it crisis management rather than case management.
Even people who are lucky enough to get on the list won't have access to all the drugs. The amount of services we're able to provide is just pitiful. We went through a period when the state couldn't give us any money to provide transportation to our rural clients.
This doesn't put a dent in the list.
I can't live with this inequity for another five years.
We haven't seen the money shifting with the epidemic. I don't believe a person should be punished because of where they live geographically, and that's what's happening.
