One of our pitchers was gone to all-state band camp in San Antonio and she stepped in and did a good job. She hadn't really thrown in a year and a half.
I felt like we did really well. Emily Burgess did a great job of coming in without any preparation. We saw a lot of kids do some things we were excited about.
We can play with anybody in our district and now we've kind of got everything straightened out. We've hit the ball more consistently and we cut down on our walks.
We knew she was a going to be a good athlete and do the job.
We missed her a lot. Her sophomore year she was one of our best hitters. We're going to count on her a lot this year. She's done a good job for what she's had to overcome.

It was a big comeback for us. It was also good to see our offense get going again.
I really felt like we lost a couple of games early because of walks. We can't give anybody free passes.
