Camp Dawson has served its purpose, it was always meant to be a transition place.
We'll have to wait to see how things progress through the process. We still have a long way to go through the session.
It will allow us to update our antiquated purchasing system, which is not only good for the agencies and the vendors but also the taxpayers. It will make for a much more efficient and cost-effective system.
Our goal was not to interfere with the process as it was always set to begin. We've put the process in place to ensure that we are able to follow the process, the families are kept up to date, and we have a public hearing that allows everybody to participate.
