So I am excited, yes. The emotions and your fortunes just swing wildly in this sport.
Now we get into the part of the track I call the rhythm section turns 4, 5 and 6. Hard, hard braking here as we go down to 3rd gear, it might even be second.
I went as hard as I could and got all we had.
You can even let the car drift out because you have to set up for the turn 5.
You bring it over and hold it tight and take 5 and 6 together in one big arc.
We're really thrilled right now. We have a really good shot at a win if not a podium.
This turn is a tough turn is a tough turn because it is actually slower than it looks. It is a dead hard 90. If you take it too fast you really can't take advantage of the run off area.
You see turn one. You want to have a tidy exit on that because it sets you up for the next turn.
This is another blind turn. There are a lot of blind turns on this track, especially when your eyeballs are only 25 inches off the ground!
This is the 3rd longest straightaway on the track. You can see that this is a bumpy track.
This corner has several different apexes. It is good for passing. You can enter tight or you can enter wide and try to cross over your buddy and super late apex it over here.
This is turn one and you want to keep the car tidy out of the turn and take it out to about here. It is a 3rd gear corner.
This is turn 8 and 9, you want to take them in one big arc.
It is really bumpy, you can imagine coming through here at a hundred (miles per hour). There is another big dip right here under braking (after the exit of turn 7 and entering turn 8). Not a lot of run off here.
You touch the curb and try not to get too much wheel spin off of there in second gear. It feels like you have a big magnet in your pocket pulling you up towards the wall right here.
Notice how the wall angles out towards us.
Also you notice the concrete along side of the track all the way around.
