I think the dollar would need to see some good economic news and sustained upward pressure on interest rates for it to really gather much momentum.
People came in waiting for softer news, and didn't get it.
That the claims data were back at 356,000 was certainly better than expected and the dollar is gaining.
In general, there is a great disappointment that the dollar hasn't rallied in the wake of the Brazil package.
