We might get out-skilled some nights, but we're not going to lose because of character. Those last few minutes were a circus. I feel very fortunate to win that game.

Rich is a guy that I wanted on my staff when I went to Martin. We're going to use the same defense we ran at Martin, and he is very knowledgeable of that defense.

This is a group of impeccable character. It's taken me a few years to form the group that I wanted, but I think I've done that now. These guys eventually want to become head coaches, and that's what I want.

I'm not quite sure where we are yet. Our quarterback had a decent game, but we have a long ways to go.

You can only beat up on each other for so long before you want to face an opponent. I'm just as happy as the players to get going with the season.
