There are many things for us to balance. On the one hand we do have a relatively unstable minority government ... at the same time, I think it's important for us to take some time to rebuild and allow people to come forward with their ideas.
Clearly we have to have a balance between recognizing we have to be well positioned to fight in the House with allowing some time to go by to let the leadership process be all that it can be.
We think Stephen Harper got off to a very bad start. When he has accountability as one of his lead priorities and he's had the terrible question marks around ethics and accountability himself, we feel we need to be ready to go as quickly as possible.
It's likely that (a leadership race) will take place within a year.
It's tricky. It's a challenge when people haven't done that before.
