Cat played a great game. She buried shot after shot and played great defense.
Nine losses in that league is comparable to seven in ours.
We did not play out best tonight and we still have to get better. But we did what we needed to do to win the game.
Tonight was all about the seniors. Those five girls has given us years of heart and sweat. They never miss practice and, despite the fact that some of them have had limited minutes, they always come ready to play. They all enjoyed this night. I?m happy and proud of them.
We?re all happy to play another game. It?s going to be tough, but you never know.
We get to a point in games where we go into lulls. We had two today both at the start of quarters (second and third). We get it down to 4 or 5 points then back up to 10 or 11. Then we have to foul and obviously they are a great foul-shooting team.
I told them to go out and take the game back at the start of the fourth period.
We?re not a great shooting team. Our percentage has been in the low 30s consistently all year. It?s almost as (the players) are saying ?Please go in,? every time they shoot it. It?s not like we haven?t worked on it.
They don?t seem to press very much. They play a zone defense, so we will try to use our pressure to create the pace we want.
The time off is always a concern. It will be eight days between games; you try to stay fresh.
