This is the thing that India really needs to fix now. The raw material is there, but the quality is low.
The reality is that this shortfall can be fairly easily met by industry.
India has the potential to capture more than 50 percent of this opportunity.
The problem we are facing is huge. The acute demand is leading to supply-side shortages.
But these are being built haphazardly around India, and they need a lot more than they have now to be successful.
