The exterior is classified as an historical monument, along with the railing in the entrance. The apartment has changed hands many times. When I found it, it had been converted into offices.
It's from the 30s or 40s, and I found it in an antique shop. It's the perfect height and width to hide the shower.
Most of the objects here are really quite simple and fit into the feeling of the room. It's a room that's meant to be lived in.
I wanted to create the ambiance of a garden. In the 17th century this probably would have been a reception hall for important people, but I even put in a sink for cutting and arranging flowers. I think it's where the nuns used to keep their toiletries.
