Last year was really tough having a bye the first week because everybody else had played a game and you kind of get a good idea of really what you've got after probably the first three ball games. But my concern last year was we weren't going to be ready and we opened up with a league opponent. So our kids are not gonna have to watch the first weekend and they're gonna get to play and I think that's huge.

We had some questions on defense this year, but the defense played great today. It gives us something to build on.

It's kind of nice that the kids have kept me around this long. And the kids today did an awesome job.

I want to commend our ground staff for taking care of our facility. They did an awesome job. We have green grass, where a lot of people have brown dirt.
