We're finally starting to tighten up and realize that defense wins games this time of year. It's good to take the load off Tomas because he's worked his butt off all year.

I think he'll be going for us. I know he'll be watching for sure. He still loves the game, so he'll be into it.

I've never really done anything like this. It was definitely a good experience on and off the ice. It gets the top U.S. guys out there. I was trying to keep up with them and trying to establish myself among those guys.

It kind of (stinks). But hopefully when I get off the ice, I can ask somebody and they'll tell me that (the Badgers) won both nights. That's one thing I can look forward to.

It's definitely tough whenever you leave your friends. And coach (Mike) Eaves is a great coach. Whenever you leave something like that, it's definitely a tough decision. But I'm happy with my decision and I'm happy to be where I am right now.

I knew with coach Eaves it wouldn't take long. He proved me right.

I'm just happy for them. I just told them I wished them the best of luck and hopefully they'll come home with a national championship.
