I first picked up a basketball in the seventh grade here at Lake Hamilton,
I went to the wrong building. Then I said to myself, 'They've built a new one.' Fortunately, I found it.
When I first started playing, it was fun. It's still fun, but at the professional level, I have to look at whether or not I'm getting it done. The reality is if you're not, you can get fired.
I waited my turn and tried to learn as much as I possibly could. I was behind Crystal, and just pretty much learning everything from her. She's a great person to learn from. She's a smart player, a very good player. I'm ready.
After we won the championship (in 2004), I got like six days off to go home and then I had to come back and be in New York.
A majority of our players can play different spots. That's going to help us out, because it's always better if you can play more than one position.
It wasn't too hard, but I feel it now at this point in our season. Playing back-to-back seasons and going so hard, but mentally I try to push it back.
The biggest thing I can give my mom credit for is she taught me, and now I know, right from wrong.
The good thing is I learned discipline when I started playing basketball. My (Liberty) teammates laughed at me when I first got there because I asked what time the team dinner was. They laughed and told me we were on our own.
