We're excited about having him next year as we learn more about our offense and become more complex. You look at the Dallas Cowboys, their tight ends play a big role in their offense, and we're hoping T.J. can do that for us next year, too.
Everyone knew where Jake was. Teams knew that he is the guy that we loved to throw to. He has a lot of athletic ability, good speed and a good vertical jump. There were times when he would jump over someone else to make a catch. He has a chance to play somewhere (in college).
He did a good job at punting. When he hits it, he can really lay into it.
He did a good job at blocking and receiving. When you talk about a tight end, most of the teams in our district don't use them anymore. It's becoming obsolete. But he was valuable to us since we mixed in the passing game with the running game.
