I hit driver down No. 9. I didn't have the best lie and I didn't have maybe the best swing at it, but I hit it pretty good. I hit it like 150 yards and that was a two-iron. Sometimes you're just guessing how many clubs you think you need to add to the shot versus the yardage. That's really what it is, guessing the right amount of wind and hoping that you pull it off. If it blows and it's dry, it's going to be a traditional Texas-style test where you're not going to shoot low. If it stays still, you're going to see low (scores). St. Andrews is the best example of shooting low when it's not blowing. When it blows, it's a nightmare.

The course has potential to get more difficult, but the greens generally are very round, so there's not many pins that can hide behind bunkers, ... Everything is pretty visible from the fairway, unusual for a lot of the courses we play, even in normal tournaments.

The course had benign conditions for us. Scores are to be had out there.

The course could be vulnerable if it's soft and still. But if it's the opposite, firm and breezy, guys will be doing a lot of thinking.
