I've been triple jumping for five years, but this is my first year to long jump. I figured I'd try it this year and give Daniel a little competition.
Daniel's still whipping me in the running events, though.
It's been great. I'd like to do it again. I know I'm going to miss it.
They started giving ribbons instead of medals for three years between the eighth and 10th grades, then they started giving medals again.
When I was younger, I was always the fastest runner in my class.
My goal was to jump 19 feet. My first jump every was 19-6. I felt like I could compete with everybody after that.
I haven't had a day off or a weekend off in a while. When football was over, I started basketball the next day. When basketball was over, I went straight into baseball and track. If I haven't had baseball practice, I've had track practice.
I probably couldn't find half of them. We've probably been in about 50 meets.
