When I came over here, I knew Dusty plays everybody. You need that. With a long season, you need guys healthy and rested. The more guys you have, the better you'll be.

We don't have the luxury of feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to play 120 percent, which is what we do every single game. In this business, you have to keep rolling. Nobody feels sorry for you.

Yesterday I did. I want my name to be in the paper because I hit two homers and I went 4-for-4, not because of any other reason. I understand that this whole second base thing is a controversy. That's fine. I want you to understand that if I'm on the bench and somebody else is playing, I'm going to be pulling for him. I'm not going to be talking bad about anybody. I love my teammates, I love this team.

With Wood and Prior in there, we'd be pretty tough. But we've got some young guys who really throw the ball well.

You know, it's not the best thing in the world that can happen, but we're all grown adults. He didn't do well and probably expected what happened. Life goes on.
