Now the Kids Classic is one of the major fund-raisers for Children's Hospital. Since we started seven years ago, we've raised more than $1 million for the hospital.

You still remember the bad rounds here, but they don't stay with you as long. The Champions Tour is great, it's competitive and it's a wonderful show, but it's not the real big league. The real big league is the PGA Tour, and we all know that.

Whether or not he'll be the next captain I don't know, but he'd certainly be my pick, ... He's played in Ryder Cups, won major championships. He has the enthusiasm and respect of the players. He's a team player 100 percent.

I was going to run in the primary, whether I won or not (tonight). I truly have a good group of people helping me.

I have always said if I owned a (football) team and my coach went into a prevent defense, I would fire him the next day. But when you have a seven-stroke lead, it's hard not to. I would not say I went into a total prevent defense because I was hitting some good shots, but I wasn't shooting at pins. It really is a strange mindset.

I have lots of confidence on this course. It's one of the best driving courses we play on the Champions Tour. Just enough rough to give you some problems.

If the three at the top don't run off and hide, we'll have a chance.

I think Tiger would be more enthusiastic about the Ryder Cup (if he skipped the Presidents Cup), and not just Tiger, but all the top players. Biennially, it's fairly easy to get excited about playing.

Last week I started hitting some good shots. My scores didn't always show it, but I felt like I played well. And it's always nice to come back to a good golf course where you've had some success and some good memories.

To go around the course without a bogey today is really, really good.

This was way to long of a drought. These last two wins, it's been kind of sparse. When I first came out here and won five or six events, I was thinking this Champions Tour thing was pretty easy.

There's going to come a time when one of the top players says 'I can't do that. I need a break,'

On top of all that, I'm a blessed man. I truly am.

This is not as intense as the regular tour was,

This is why I came back. This is the only reason that I took this little challenge to come back and play the Tour ... to see if I had what it takes to contend, to see if I have what it takes to possibly win a golf tournament.

It's just nice to play well again. Once I get going, I feel like I can sustain it. I think I'm really starting to feel like I've done all the work.

It was a lot of fun to play today. It was a great day and a great crowd.

It's been a long time since I've had a round like this, ... It was a great day for scoring.

Nothing has changed just because I'm getting older. I'm a golfer who has wanted to play in the Open since I was a teenager. Just because I'm on the Champions Tour does not mean that I shouldn't want to play in our national championship.

They looked as if they had trees growing out of them.

I'm expecting to do reasonably well. I don't know what that is yet. I'm just kind of feeling my way.

I'm playing a lot better, there's no question about it, ... I'm looking for some good things these last few weeks of the year.

Chuck and I have been working hard. It's been a long process to get my swing back to where it had a chance to stand up to some pressure. We both had to stay very, very patient.

I feel if I play up to my standard, it's good enough to win a lot of tournaments. I think I am as good a player when it gets to be tough as anyone out here. I am starting swing well again and I am very encouraged about what will happen over the next year or year and a half.
