We were young last year and we learned some lessons. A lot of the girls played travel ball in the summer and gained experience.
Deanna was mediocre when she started. But she decided after her freshman season that she was going to work her tail off at becoming the best pitcher she could be.
I can't figure out how she got on it, but she did.
She did well enough to keep us in the game. That's all that matters.
We could have scored just as easily as they did. We had the same opportunities.
She tends to throw good pitches when she falls behind.
