We started the season with a little setback because we had to have two seniors move to the setter position where they haven't ever played. I know I have the hitters that I can use to run some plays and we're just now getting the confidence in the setters.

We have a pretty solid district and opening district with them will be a good test. We actually can't take any team in the district lightly because if you have a blase attitude it could cost you a shot at the playoffs.

We're pretty much in the driver's seat for second place now.

I thought we looked much better and, overall, I felt our performance had improved.

It was definitely a positive for us coming off the Shiner Tournament to play a fantastic game and win consolation. It was a big confidence booster for the team.

It took us a while to find our defensive rhythm, but they stepped up in the second half.
