That chapter is over. We've talked about how now the second season begins. I think our special teams are playing as well as they have all year. I think we have a chance to go deep in the playoffs.
We didn't want to play on our heels. We wanted to play on our toes. At the end of the day we won the game and are going to state.
The main thing I was happy about was that we had a nice distribution of scoring on our goals. You don't want to have to rely on just one line, and we seem to have nice balance on all our lines.
This was a tough one to swallow. We weren't satisfied just to get here, but it's an accomplishment to get down here. I'm satisfied with how we played. We deserved better.
I'm happy for Travis and Brandon to be nominated for first team all-state. It's nice to see those guys get recognized on that level. Those guys were a big part of our success this season.
We scored on three of our seven opportunities tonight and if we do that every night I will feel pretty good about our chances.
They have the pressure on them being the No. 1 team. All we're worried about is our guys and playing our game.
That just goes to show what kind of kid Travis is. He'll do anything he can to help the team and not say a word.
Alex is definitely not a practice player. He's a total gamer. Once a game starts, he's ready. He's cool as a cucumber. In my opinion, he was the difference in the sectional final.
