The extra couple of days certainly help the coaching staff. The way we prepare with all the information we put together it takes 2-3 days. This gives us enough time to be prepared.
We took a couple of bad penalties at the end and it cost us big-time.
He's been shying away from taking pucks, going wide and taking to the net and he did that a few times tonight. For some reason he spent most of the first couple months not being involved and being on the outside. To his credit, he got the job done tonight.
I think that first shot that Joe clanked off the pipe might have shaken them up a little bit. He provided a spark, but for the first time in a while we got a couple of breaks early in the game.

It's huge to get that out of the way. All we really do is get to think about it for a couple hours here and play Vancouver again. If we could get sixth or even fifth, that would be a real feather in our cap considering where we came from.
I never would have thought when I first came to the Sharks a couple years ago that Cheech was going to be a 50-goal scorer. I thought we were looking at a great third-line grinder with some upside for scoring.
