One-in-five say a pink slip may be in order if an employee is late three times in a year.

The vast majority of hiring managers -- 85 percent -- say they are less likely to promote an employee who has lied to them or other members of the organization.

IT is one of the top areas hiring managers say they will be recruiting for in 2006. With the labor market becoming more competitive, hiring managers may need to rethink their recruitment and retention strategies.
