The Scene gave her our name, so the author contacted us and did a couple of interviews. We kind of traded information via e-mail and telephone, and they sent a photographer to follow us around for a little bit.

We just look for indicators that may tell us that someone's impaired and we try to take 'em off the road.

They talked about taking our heart, about not even making us quit because we already knew we were going to lose. We just came out here with a lot of effort, a lot of hustle, to show that we're in this for real. We're not no punks.

This opportunity to work with the Scouts allows the instructors to share what they know and practice interacting with different age groups. The Sailors wanted to volunteer and give back to the local community.

It's just nice to have someone who will have our back who will actually listen to us, help us out.
