It all comes down to what kids decide they want to do. Do they want to make themselves better? Do they want to work at it? I know Luke is the type of kid who always wants to get better. He's going to spend (the spring and summer) working on his game.
This is a tremendous honor for him and for our high school. Luke is one of only three kids (on the U.S. team) from the West Coast.
Luke played a great all-around game. He made everybody else on the team look better.
Luke came in and got six of his eight in the first quarter, which was huge. We had a tough game that ended at 11 last night and came back to play at 11 this morning, so Babbitt needed some help. When Luke went inside and scored over their 6-6 guy, I think they were shocked.
