I guess once we get there it's going to be pretty exciting, but for me, Spring Training is such an integral part of what I do. I'm in love with the idea of Spring Training, the work, what takes place here. For me, it's going to be interesting to see how I get my work done there.
I live off my scholarship refunds. Because of my erratic schedule, I can't work but my scholarship money helps with my expenses.
This spring, to me, is a little different. I feel like I'm playing catch-up. Once I get my work in, I'll catch up to where I normally am.
The contract is something I'm really proud of, ... It doesn't bother me at all. I think it's really symbolic of my hard work and what I've done as a player and the unique challenge that I do have and continue to try and harness every year.
We've been swinging the bats progressively better the last three days. We have to work on being more consistent.
I want to be the best, and the best work. You have to earn what you get, and you have to work to keep it.
