I've frequently said that fall is a bad time to launch reality programming. The audience has a real hunger to check out the new dramas and comedies this time of year, so we elected to not launch any new shows.
We are proud to bring the Scripps National Spelling Bee to ABC for the first time in its storied, 79-year history. It's exciting for us as a network to bring this competition of some of America's brightest young minds to a broader audience.
