They have a chance to be a team. It's hard to develop a team mentality when you only have one or two guys, but with six a team bond can develop.
This is the third straight top-11 team (Michigan, Minnesota) we've faced, which is good for us, because there will be no surprises once we get to Big Tens. We'll come back to Bloomington in a few weeks, knowing exactly what we're up against.
I feel good about the way we started. I know we're going to be behind a few teams by the end of today, but I think we can pass a majority of them on days two and three.
I'm bitter about our finish, but our team responded the best it could and I'm proud of its effort. There were some tears shed at the end of the meet, but I didn't want them to feel sorry because they went out there and gave their all.
