We all know what we mean by fighting terrorism. In reality, there is total cooperation between the countries north and south of the Mediterranean against terrorism.
It will mean a better deal for European taxpayers, and for their armed forces. And it is a vital step for ensuring that our defense industries remain globally competitive.
The other is stagnation. I do not need to spell out what that alternative will mean in detail: You have experienced most of it during the years that followed immediately after the war.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, will be obtained by violent means. It is a mistake to negotiate with the terrorists and we do not recommend it.
