You want to work with people who see something outside of you and that you're maybe not aware of. If someone gives you advice or tells you to do something, you want to be able to follow through with what you're asked to do, and also believe that.
One thing I've discovered is that people in the military have a sense of purpose. They feel useful, and everything is laid out in front of them. What their job is, is very clear.
I tend to be hypercritical of my performances. That's why I hate watching them with people I know.
