This is an opportunity for people who did not do interviews to have some one-on-one time. These guys will be able to talk to them and make their own decision.
What happens with these guys (organizations) is it's very hard to find a successor. When the charismatic founder goes away, who's going to replace him?
Their two go-to guys took over from there. They both showed why they're all-state players.
He has to keep everyone on the same page and bring the team together because they are not playing for the guy on the back they are playing for the crest on the front. Since it is a high-profile team like ours, it is all about getting guys to buy in.
We have guys who have been in district and state games before, and that will help us.
This is going to be a grind. I think (coach-manager Bill Horne) has done a great job of putting together a bunch of guys who can play one or two positions.
