It's quite encouraging. The sentiment is better and you've got the indexes passing the highs of the year and holding, so you've got some technical support as well.
The last day of the year many years ago used to be the busiest say of the year, but that ended about 15 years ago. This holiday offers a three-day weekend and most institutions have closed their books by now.
EBay came out with good numbers, but the outlook for the fourth quarter and next year wasn't so good, ... We're probably looking at a lower open, with a mixed trading session, as people respond to individual earnings and keep an eye on the price of oil.
