Obviously we wanted to be the best team in the state by winning the Federation. We'd never be happy with a loss, but we know the big picture, and we're still state champions. We're so proud of the kids and that's what we'll focus on.
It's nice that people regard us that highly. I don't think people thought we were going to be as good as we are with (Ray) Blackburn gone. It's still the middle of January. Now if we're No. 1 come March 17 (end of the state playoffs), then I'll really be happy.
