It was the worst quarter of the year for us. But that was the best team we've played. I think a lot of it had to do with them, not my coaching. We played well enough to still be around. We made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes, like dribbling into the corner against a double team.
I think the time is right ... because first and foremost, it's best for the university, ... I think that because of the nature of the profession that we are in, it becomes a difficult thing to follow a great deal of success.
It's not about losing at Nebraska, or the Colorado game or the Texas A&M game; it's not about those things. ... It's what is best for this university that has been very special to me and what is best for my family.
