We have to get back home and get after it tomorrow. There will be a great crowd there and you can't live with this too long. These weekends, man, can sneak up on you. You hang your head and you're down two (games).
Barrett has the ability to do that. I've also seen him look pretty silly sometimes seeing him sit on a pitch and not get it. But that one worked out.
I think we're excited to play. This is another good opportunity for us, against one of the top teams in the conference, and we're playing at home, and I think we're excited for that opportunity.
Our guys showed some character today, but can't do anything in the conference showing up once a week. We're not going to get very far showing up once a week and that's about what we're doing.
We played pretty well up until today. Now, we have to see if we can bounce back from this.
We prepared for that play in practice, but it's different when you step between the lines in a game. We just had some indecision and it cost us.
They should have got one run and ended up with five. And we had a chance to get more in the first. We got two, but could have had four. Against a team like that, you have to take advantage of everything because they're so good.
It's the same old thing. We've been giving up too many walks the last couple of weekends. We hadn't been doing that until recently and they came back to haunt us. And (KU) also did a good job with two strikes, fouling off some pitches before getting the one they wanted.
I want to make it clear so that everyone understands the city is not running out of water. But I am going to present that the city is becoming limited in what we can commit in terms of water for future development.
