I don't know who scored on the first penalty shot but I know Kovalev a little bit and I know he has everything, a good shot and he can deke. The biggest improvement I think is that we work hard as a team. You need five people on the ice. From a defensive point, they did a really good job in front of me. They scored only two power play goals. So defensively, I have seen a big improvement.

It was a good workout for me, ... We scored power-play goals ? that was the big difference in tonight's game. We scored three and they couldn't score on the power play. My teammates cleared the rebounds. I made the first save and the whole game, maybe once or twice, they had a second shot.

I'm not crazy about shootouts but it's always fun when you win. We came back twice and won in a shootout. It's a good feeling.

I had fun after I made a few saves, ... They were without a lot of their big guns. I didn't face the best shooters, so I'm not too excited about it. I'm sure it will be different with Mario (Lemieux) and (Sidney) Crosby in their lineup. Overall it was a good start for me.
