It's frustrating. There's no magic formula or magic play that's going to get us out of it. It's sticking to the recipe that successful teams have and that's working hard.
I'm sure John would love to win the scoring race. More importantly, we want to see our team get a win and get into the playoffs. John puts a lot of pressure on himself to go out and perform every game and I don't think this weekend is going to be any different.
In lacrosse, the momentum changes so quick. Would we like to turn 3-0 into 6-0? Sure, but it's not realistic with the talent in this league. Teams are going to battle back.
Anytime Buffalo and Rochester meet each other it's always a battle. It'll be a game both teams really want.
That's not a lot different than what a lot of teams try to do.
The win for us obviously was huge in terms of the playoff scenario. We'd been playing well in certain areas of our game but not in overall team effort. We had a solid team effort in that one. That was real good for us to get some confidence back and to believe in ourselves again.
We always talk about him and when he has the ball all eyes are on him. Teams tend to focus on him when he has the ball and it creates opportunities for other guys.
Any time you can beat a team in your division it's a huge win. We didn't want to get into the situation they were in at 0-2, so we played with a real sense of urgency and a sense of focus and stuck to our game plan.
We talk about winning as a team and on any given night we think we have the talent to get all our guys scoring. We want that type of balance; we don't want to rely on (Grant) and Willy to score seven between them.
