Quite often, when a horse is reported missing, it has either managed to get free and has run away or it turns out to be a civil matter involving some sort of boarding disagreement. This doesn't mean that we're saying Mickey wasn't stolen. But, in the absence of any solid information, we simply don't know what happened to him.
